According to Sultan Hamid II, he made the design of the national symbol of the Garuda bird after getting inspiration from the mythological story of the Garuda bird. It is known, Garuda is a vehicle used by Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. The shape of the wings of this bird is similar to that of an eagle and its body is like that of a human.
