The national flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted in 1998, and it consists of a blue background with a yellow inverted triangle in the center, and nine white five-pointed stars arranged in a quasi-circle.

The design of the flag reflects the country's history and the unity of its people. The blue background represents the country's position in the world and its aspiration towards peace and harmony. The yellow triangle represents the country's sovereignty, while the white stars represent Europe and its unity.

The flag was designed by a prominent Bosnian artist named Abdulah Sidran, who was part of a commission tasked with creating a new flag for the country after the Bosnian War. The design was chosen from among hundreds of entries and was officially adopted on February 4, 1998.

The flag has since become a symbol of national pride and unity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is commonly flown on public buildings, during national holidays and events, and by Bosnians around the world as a symbol of their heritage and identity.
