Born on May 19, 1944. Peter is an actor from the United States. He was born in the town of Barnes, South West London. Now he lives in the village of Boyd, Texas. He is famous for playing the character Chewbacca in the Star Wars sequel films and also in several other film titles. He has written as many as two books. And now he is active in the Star Wars community.

In his acting career, Peter Mayhew landed his first acting job in 1976 when the producers of the film Sinbad and Eye of the Tiger found him from a photo in a newspaper article about a man who was long and large. So, offers came for him to play or star in feature films until now.

Regarding his life, Peter Mayhew lives in the village of Boyd, Texas and he is a businessman. He became a United States citizen since 2005. Reference in a scene in Star Wars, where Han and Luke get a medal but Chewbacca doesn't. In an interview with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram he joked that he didn't get any medals at the ceremony.
