The current Afghan flag includes three colors, such as black, red, and green, and each color represents a different page in the annals of Afghanistan.
Black represents the era of the 19th century when Afghanistan was full and had no freedom. The red color indicates the veins indicating the battle for freedom, and the green color indicates the freedom gained, as well as long-term desire and success.
This red three-striped flag was developed during Master Amanullah Khan after he returned from a tour of European countries in 1928.
The existing flag was adopted by the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2004. This flag is like the flag that traveled in Afghanistan during the monarchy between 1930 and 1973. The difference is the inclusion of the Shahadah on the top of the hand (shown in yellow) in the middle.

This flag includes three stripes in black, red and green shades. It has been on most Afghan flags in recent decades. The center symbol is a traditional Afghan symbol with a mosque with a Mihrab indicating Makah.
The Afghanistan flag is made of a three tone red stripe equivalent to an icon (mehrab) in the center of the red stripe in white tones. There are two rice divisions in each section (Mehrab) and above the rice division, there is an announcement from the Shahdah that there is no god but Allah and Mohammad is His prophet.
