The development of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) business does not only come from the deliciousness of the chicken. Behind that, there is also a form of promotion through a logo that at first glance looks like our grandfathers.
Yes, the face of the colonel named Harland David Sanders, a businessman from the United States. The man who co-founded KFC was born on September 9, 1890 and died on December 16, 1980.
However, before founding KFC, Sanders changed professions many times, from insurance agent to gas station clerk. He only started being active in his fried chicken business when he was advanced, 65 years old!

The KFC logo has actually been overhauled several times. For the first time the colonel's face was introduced to the public in 1952. Then the company redesigned it in 1978, with slight changes, placement and typeface.
Only in 1991, the name Kentucky Fried Chicken was no longer used, but was shortened to KFC. This is an attempt to portray that KFC is a healthful food choice. And in 1997, the company logo was simplified again.
Until finally in April 2007, the image of a colonel wearing a red cooking apron and white coat was inaugurated as the newest KFC logo. The logo model was designed by a San Francisco-based company, namely Tesser.
