Rishi Sunak is a British politician who currently serves as the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the United Kingdom. He was born on May 12, 1980, in Southampton, England, to Indian parents. Sunak's family hails from the Indian state of Punjab, and his grandparents migrated to the UK from East Africa in the 1960s.

Sunak attended Winchester College, an independent boarding school, and later studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) at the University of Oxford. He furthered his education at Stanford University in the United States, where he earned an MBA.

Before entering politics, Rishi Sunak pursued a successful career in finance. He worked for investment bank Goldman Sachs and later co-founded a hedge fund management firm called Theleme Partners. His professional background in finance provided him with valuable insights and expertise in economic matters.
